"Beast Hunter"

The painting depicts S/L Badar ul Islam, flying an F-16 of PAF’s No, 14 Squadron “The Tail Choppers”, closing in to shoot down escaping Afghan SU-22.
On 16 April 1987, four Afghan SU-22s intruded into Pakistani airspace near Thal area at 06:30 am. 2 PAF’s F-16s intercepted them. The fitters turned back and started escaping. S/L Badar closed in and shot down one enemy aircraft. Seconds later, he positioned himself behind another, fired his missile but had to break as he was nearing Pak- Afghan border. The pilot after turning, looked back and saw the flash in the area where his second prey was.The PAF after examining evidences available, awarded him only one kill.

  1. I really like this painting. You have a great style and detail. Makes me want to grab my Randolph Engineering sunglasses and head out to the airport for a nice flight.
